On top of the world

I have never seen such a long queue to get up Table Mountain in the cable car, but at the top it was full of happy people having fun and popping champagne. We took advantage of the sunset special where you can buy a half price ticket after half past five, and a ticket to eat at the Table Mountain Cafe.

Up, up and away

Great weather for a trip up Table Mountain in the Cable Car. This is the lower cable station and in the top right hand of the photo you can just see the cable car as it ascends to the top. The cable car first opened in 1929.
