Road trip to the Orange River - flowers
The road to Pofadder was lined with flowers - daisies and delicate blue, fragrant Heliophila flowers all enjoying the winter sun. The generic name heliophila means "sun-lover".

I love everything about this photo: subject, composition, colours, textures. The image is even more impressive at full size.
ReplyDeleteMe too what Vicki said above Caroline, the perspective is so fantastic, with the landrovers just coming into view over the rise, and the little splash of yellow is the finishing touch. Excellent shot.
ReplyDeleteIf there is lots of flowers now already, just imagine what spring will look like this year.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see those yellow flowers in the dry earth
