Great weather for a trip up Table Mountain in the Cable Car. This is the lower cable station and in the top right hand of the photo you can just see the cable car as it ascends to the top. The cable car first opened in 1929.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, wonder what the 1929 version was like, my abnormal fea of heights would prevent me from doing this, which is a shame because the pictures from up top would be spectacular!

This is the one thing I have to do with the kids when we are there at the end of the year. On the other hand I want to walk up, so my wife will have to meet me at the top. But its a bit on the expensive side, so I will have to pull a couple of strings with my contacts there.
