Just Nuisance was a Great Dane who was officially adopted by the South African Navy in the 1940s and given the title of Able Seaman Just Nuisance. He used to accompany the sailors to Cape Town on the train, and see them safely home after a night of drinking and carousing. This life-sized

Oh my goodness. My Mum and Dad used to live in Fishoek in the 1950s they had a Rhodesian Ridgback called Nuisance!! My Dad was there serving with the British Royal Navy.
