This city cow is looking moodily at the traffic as it bumps down Second Avenue, Harfield Village in Claremont. Apparently the building used to be a dairy in the old days when Harfield Village was a thriving village community. The "coloured" folk were forced to move out in the nineteen sixties and seventies during the dark days of apartheid when the place was declared "for whites only", effectively destroying its character.But echoes of its history are still there today ...
