
An early start today. We left a car at
Slangkop Lighthouse in Kommetjie and drove to Red Hill, Simonstown, where we walked back across the mountains to the lighthouse.

Even the flowers were lit up. These
gladioli are endemic to the Cape Peninsula mountains, and are called "vlamme" which means "flames" in Afrikaans.
