ReplyDeleteThanks for the welcome. I really enjoy the daily photos from around the world. This wild ginger is really called Kahili Ginger or Hedychium gardnerianum. It is related to culinary ginger but is a bit of a pest in South Africa and New Zealand as it spreads really fast especially alongside streams - hence this load of it being dumped.
