Today was the annual Argus Pick 'n Pay Cycle Tour in which thousands and thousands of cyclists complete the track from Cape Town city centre all around the Peninsula to Green Point. Early this morning we passed them coming down De Waal Drive past Mosterts Mill. It was an absolute stinker of a hot day and I congratulate all the cyclists who completed the tour.

I hear it was the second hottest Argus ever. At least it sounds like ths gail force wind that was expected didn't happen. Just so sad to see the big accident at the finish line when the women came through.
ReplyDeleteI've heard about that before and it sounds like a great ride (don't know about the heat though). Maybe next year, I'll head down with my folding bike and give it a try (hopefully a little cooler next year though)
