No fires today

A wonderful wet and squally day today - with no need for the fire engines, which are all snug in their garages at the Central Fire Station in Roeland Street. I can't find out much about this building, other than it was around in 1963, but it looks kind of Art Deco. This area of lower Gardens is becoming most sought-after and an apartment here will set you back quite a bit whereas a decade or so ago it was not considered at all desirable.
