Girl power!

Tomorrow we have a municipal election in South Africa. In Cape Town we have the indomitable Helen Zille (GodZilla to some) as Premier and leader of the Democratic Alliance (DA) party which is the official opposition party to the ANC. The poster on the lamppost in this photo shows Helen Zille, flanked by the feisty Patricia de Lille (the DA's mayoral candidate for Cape Town) and the DA's national spokeswoman from KwaZulu-Natal, Lindiwe Mazibuko. An impressive trio indeed.

  1. Elections in Africa are always 'interesting'!! I lived in Central Africa (Zimbabwe and Zambia) for twenty years, I have to say it was fantastic then, not so much now I think. Such a shame. Good luck with your elections tomorrow.
