Marathon man

The Two Oceans Marathon, which has been going for 42 years, is always run on Easter Saturday. It is a 56 kn run (34.8 miles) that goes from Rondebosch round Chapman's Peak, via Hout Bay and Constantia Nek and back along Rhodes Drive where my photo was taken at Cecilia Forest.
The winners were the South African, George Ntshiliza for the men, and the Russian Olesya Nurgalieva for the women. Olesya's sister, Elena, came second.

  1. We recently had the Boston Marathon. A fellow from Kenya set a new world record. I'm always amazed at the tenacity of the runners.
