Seeing red

Not quite as trendy as Long Street but just as nice, Loop Street runs parallel to Long Street and also has wonderful old buildings and cafes and antique shops. Nip into A Colour Red Cafe on the corner of Loop and Hope streets and hope to escape the heat (which is already soaring over 30 degrees) and try some of their Caturra coffee from Italy. While you are there you might as well tuck into their Breakfast Express too.

  1. What a lovely building. You show me things about my own country, which I've never seen before. I saw (while hubby watched rugby on TV this weekend,) how hot it is in the Cape. Phew. Bless you my friend. Jo

  2. I like the architecture and details in this building. Artistically appealing vs the glass boxes that pop up.

  3. I've been down Loop and Long streets, but I've never spent a lot of time there. But from what I hear its THE place to hang out.
