Check it out
At the end of a long, hot day Botanical Society volunteers are still working hard at the tills, checking out people's purchases of indigenous plants. The Kirstenbosch Plant Fair is an annual fundraising event organized by the Botanical Society and staffed by volunteers from the society and the staff of Kirstenbosch garden. When it opens on Saturday morning, there is a stampede to get to the rare and scarce indigenous plants on sale.

Sadly we live just a little too far away now, but the Camps Bay garden grew each year, just after the K'bosch plant sale ;~)
ReplyDeleteDid you buy any for your garden?
ReplyDeleteOh yes - I got a few waterwise plants that once used to grow in our area of Cape Town and now are confined to small nature reserves.
ReplyDeleteI imagine that you can get some fantastic plants from this sale. How I wish I was closer.
