"A limber elf"

This morning was quite wintry and blustery, and I happened across this little girl playing in the stream that runs through the Constantia Green Belt. It brought to mind Coleridge's words from Christabel:
"A little child, a limber elf,
Singing, dancing to itself,
A fairy thing with red round cheeks . . ."
. . . And is that a hint of ORANGE I see in the distance? There are just so many orange people around that I think the Netherlands must be going to win the World Cup.

  1. Well done to snatch that delightful elf pic! People here in the UK are paranoid about snapping kids. You just daren't try it, in case you get taken for a paedophile.
